The Appleseed Cast – Peregrine (2006)

August 30, 2007 at 11:59 am (alternative, music)

Peregrine
The Appleseed Cast, well known for their open-minded, experimental rock style published 2006 a new piece, called “Peregrine”, like the last record, this one is nothing for dancing, this is more for a chilled evening with a good wine or a nice and cold cocktail. It´s hard to categorize the band after this record, it´s partly emo, prog-rock and indie.

Conscious – Neo Retro Spectro Graphiks Vol.I

August 30, 2007 at 11:50 am (hiphop, music)

Conscious

“If I ruled the world I’d send Nas back to school, back of the bus with the rest of the coons.”
Said the New York multi-talented artist “Conscious” in his song “Don´t make me angry”, one of the best track on his record “Neo Retro Spectro Graphiks Vol.I”, a record not for the club or to party to, more to sit back, relax and smoke a fine blunt while you´re listening to Conscious and his fellows Thinker, Kaleal Crooks and L-Star. The difference to other artists is, that he really cares about the art aspect of hip-hop. So check also his other projects out:

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Blood Sugar Sex Magik

August 26, 2007 at 1:00 pm (alternative, music)

Blood Sugar Sex Magik

This is the 1991 released heavy sold record of the crossover legends RHCP. If you want, you can say, that everything started here (the commercial success, the quitting of John Frusciante).

It´s not as heavy as “Mother´s Milk”, their first longplayer, you will find less heavy-riffs and more funk tunes.
